A part-time Technical Support Representative

Our international client is a growth-stage company that manufactures autonomous robots for greenhouse use. The robots treat and monitor individual plants in greenhouses, and the company's technology is deployed in several countries. The technology is in use at tomato farm in Pori, Finland, and we are now looking for a technical support representative to join the team.

About the role

You will serve as the primary on-site technical support person at a greenhouse facility in Pori. Your work is hands-on and largely independent: you ensure that the robots operate reliably and that any issues are resolved quickly. You will collaborate closely with the company's international team via remote connection.

The position is part-time, a minimum of 8 hours per week, and can be flexibly scheduled. This role is well suited for a student in a relevant field or for someone looking to gain practical experience in robotics and greenhouse technology.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic analysis, repair, and preventative maintenance of robots

  • On-site system audits and evaluations

  • Compliance with safety and operational protocols

  • Completing and submitting field reports for all on-site work and observations

  • Communicating with the international team as needed

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Technical experience and hands-on skills – you are comfortable working with equipment and systems

  • Computer skills – you navigate software confidently and pick up new tools quickly

  • Mechanical skills – you are able to maintain and upgrade robots consisting of electrical, mechanical, and computer components

  • Professional working proficiency in English – collaboration with the international team takes place in English

  • An independent, problem-solving mindset – you are responsive to customer needs and take initiative
